John Lesko is the Outreach & Interventions Representative for Florida Lawyers Assistance, Inc. After 12 years of practice as a litigator with his own substance use disorder, John achieved recovery from addiction in 2007, and transitioned to a career as a credentialed addictions clinician.  Since 2008, as a trusted clinician and advocate exclusively serving lawyers and other professionals, John has helped hundreds of individuals, in Florida and nationally, to achieve personal recovery and re-establish successful careers.

John served as Manager of Professionals Treatment at the University of Florida/Florida Recovery Center from 2011 to 2017, and as Director of Professionals Treatment at BoardPrep Recovery in Tampa from 2017 to 2019.  John holds specialty credentials as a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP), a Certified Criminal Justice Addiction Professional, and an Internationally Credentialed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC).
